With all the rain, the rivers are rising again as the water comes down to us from the north. Some streets in Conway closed. This is the view of Aberdeen from Hwy 9. Going to get a little worse before it gets better.

Another time! Significant floods appears again. Aberdeen has suffered the most from huccicanes Matthew (2016) and Florence (2018). I think that they will have to sacrifice in a near future these nine holes along the road. Almost impossible to keep good conditions of play on these holes. They budget of maintenance will skyrocketed another time. I salute the resilience of the workers and superintendants. These persons have all my respect for their courage to keep open these holes over the years. But enough is enough!

When I read all the reports about the amount of rain MB was getting over the winter, I wondered how long it would take to flood Aberdeen.  This course just can't catch a break.  If there is a way they could reroute and find eighteen mainly dry holes, they should do it.  Like S***H says the maintenance costs must be astronomical.

I'm feeling bad for the people who try to take care of this golf course! 🙁

That photo makes it look like Rt 9 is damming up the water.
They need another way to get water under Rt 9.  Buck creek is
too small.

The closed Woodlands 9 is probably flooded worse.
The holes in the photo are on the HIGHlands nine.

Aberdeen has had bad luck with water as do most courses along Hwy. 9, have to feel for the owners, golfers and maintenance staff.  Pic of the Par 4 along Hwy. 9 to me is a nice hole, making Par is a chore though.

The other side of 9 is flooded as well - it's about the Waccamaw river rising over it's banks - Buck Creek just gets flooded by the river
