Haven’t been on here in almost 2 years since our trip last year was canceled. Broke our streak of 29 consecutive years but can’t wait to get back down there in a few weeks. Came on here to check on course conditions but didn’t see any write ups for the courses that we are playing. Hope you guys can help. We are playing Grande Dunes Resort, MBN Kings North, Barefoot Love and Dye, Rivers Edge, and Tidewater. The course on that list that has the most variable conditions is Rivers Edge, love the layout but sometimes those greens get a little slow and the bunkers have been washed out on a few of our trips. If anyone has played these lately please reply and give me the scoop. I still have time to make changes if needed.
Thanks in advance

My group was down 2 weeks ago, but we didn't play any of the courses on your list. We did play Barefoot Fazio & it was in great shape, especially the greens.

Talking to other groups around the bag drop, putting green, etc & had 3 different groups tell us the greens at Grande Dunes were really bad.

Don't expect much from bunkers though. We only saw rakes at one course all week (Brunswick Plantation). We just played lift smooth & place in the bunkers.

Fairways & Greens

Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.

From what I read in this forum over the last couple of weeks, there were some issues with Grande Dunes not long ago, but other than that, you're in for some great quality golf!

Other forum members should be able to give more details than me.

In the meantime, make the most of your upcoming stay @vtgolfnut!

The warmer MB weather should have most of the courses you are playing in decent to good shape, bunkers as Jw mentioned will be an issue every course you play.

Good to see you back Bruce.

Looks like a great lineup.

The only course with bad reports( that I've seen) is GD.

That was reported by several dependable guys... but like you said , a month may be enough time to recover.

Maybe call the course directly to get some confirmation?

Is your kid taking your betting money on the golf course yet ?

Hope you get good weather buddy.

@jw11

we called our booking agent and moved the grande dunes round to TPC, about $12 more per person but worth it to not have to play on or hear about crappy greens

when are you visiting this year or have you already moved to the area?

@vtgolfnut

Me n wife will be in town the 1st 2 weeks of October.

Last year I had sciatica problems after 5 rounds. I was on pace to play 10 rounds.  Disappointing but what can ya do.

Will try again this October.

Can't consider the move till 2025.

Time flies,so that's not too far away.

Good job on the TPC change IMO.

Looking forward to your reports

I played Grande Dunes today.
THE GREENS ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!   Stay away for at least a month.

They are aerated without top dressing, very bumpy, thin, with some crab grass.

Pro shop said routine maint.  HAHA, I am not  that dumb, with 42 years of MB
experience.  MB doesn't aerate in April, unless the greens are in trouble.

I'm shocked that Grande Dunes would let the greens get this bad.
