Since a lot of the old threads are gone (or so I think) can we start a new top 10 list for those new to MBGT? I’ll go first, obviously! I think the argument can be made that this list could be scrambled in any one of a dozen rankings
Bald Head
The Dunes
Caledonia
Glen Dornoch
Tidewater
True Blue
Myrtle Beach National
Thistle
Rivers Edge
River Club
In no particular order
Heritage
The Dunes

Tough to pick 10, was tougher when we picked five, so in no particular order and knowing that I haven't played everywhere like St James or the courses in Wilmington
Dunes
Kings North
Rivers Edge
Surf Club
Pawleys Plantation
Cape Fear
BF Fazio
Wachesaw Private
Prestwick (from the senior tees)
River Hills
Arrowhead - honorable mention
So many others that could be on this list
When I go to MB I like to play solid golf courses with good greens, but I have a hard time paying $140+ for a round of golf. Especially since there are so many lesser priced, good courses available. My ten, in no particular order except for #1-2 would be:
1. Bald Head Island
2. Grande Dunes
Others: Prestwick, Thistle, Farmstead, Wild Wing Avocet, Tidewater, Rivers Edge, Arrowhead, Glen Dornoch.
My top 10, in no particular order would be as follows.
Keep in mind, this is based soley on courses I have played - about 25 or so in total, and I have yet to tee it up at a Barefoot course, Tidewater, Dunes, etc. (which are some fan favourites)
- Caledonia
- True Blue
- TPC
- Cape Fear National
- Bald Head Island
- King's North
- Rivers Edge
- Grand Dunes
- Arrowhead
- Glen Dornoch
It is not easy, but my ranking would be:
The Dunes, MBN Kings North, Caledonia, True Blue, Pawleys Plantation, TPC, Tidewater, Barefoot Fazio,
Heritage, Wachasaw Private.

Tadpole - I'm with you on the not liking a buck forty to play golf. Too many great courses that are reasonable. I'm going to start a new thread for the top ten affordable courses -

Somehow my old stuff got on this new thread.
#1 Dunes
#2 Kings North
#3 Rivers Edge
Then the rest - Surf Club, South Course, River Hills, Caledonia, BF Fazio, Cape Fear National, Wachesaw Private - Grande Dunes and Oak Island for bonus points. And I know that I'm the only one to add South Course at MBN - but it fits my game and I could play it all the time - love playing there! (Ask Brian)

I took Tigers Eye off my list due to bad greens for past year. close to top 10 are Prestwick, Tradition. Top courses I haven't played yet are Dunes & Surf. My list may change IF I get to play them.
Wolverine - you're list will change once you have played Dunes and probably Surf.
