If you can find a UPS Customer Care center, you can likely save on shipping compared to a UPS Store. UPS stores typically charge a premium to ship with UPS.

shipping any single item costs too much

when selling a club on ebay.i think they if you get the shipping thru them you get a break but it still costs around $30 to ship one club

I usually use FedEx or Ship Sticks for shipping golf clubs. They tend to be more affordable and have better handling for odd-sized packages.

@jw11 Again, I was not shipping my bag of clubs. I was shipping a single club, as if I was shipping a 3-wood to you. I thought $55 was a little steep.

$55 seems like a good deal to me considering most courses will charge that much to rent clubs for 1 round.

I haven't shipped any clubs in a few years.
I have found that USPS was as good as any on rates.
Rates were better shipping north/south, due to being in the same zone.
Shipping east/west gets into different zones, so rates go up.

With USPS, if you have a 3 sided box, make sure they measure it correctly,
per their website, or the rates goes up a lot, about double.

@kano-mike I do too, but this was me shipping a 3-wood to someone else, not shipping my clubs to a destination where I will meet up with them later.

I walked into a UPS store today to ship a golf club. I walked out nearly $55 poorer. I was shocked. Included was a $33 additional handling charge because the box is an odd size by their standard. Who do you guys use to ship clubs?
