Saturday morning, right as we hit town, I get a call from the course saying that we won't be able to play today because they have to get the course ready for  1pm shotgun outing. We had the last of of the 4 morning tee times, 7:50 am. 

When I asked if any consideration was given to compensation to us for not getting an earlier call, causing us to spend about 1-1/2 hrs there & back, & I could feel the blank stare thru the phone. I think I was talking to the counter girl from the snack bar. Well, she said, I can send you rain checks..  So I told her ok, & by the time we got back home, I had an email with 3 rain checks.

We saw that Wednesday,  4 days later, had perfect weather forecast, so I got online, made another tee time & checked the box that said "comp/rain checks" 

Our tee time today was 7:30 (1st group out). We get there at 7:30 to find lights are out & doors are locked. ??? At 7:22, here came the the guy to open tge pro shop. I go up to the counter to check in, & he tells me I owe $8. I show him the rain checks, again, but he says we'll those are for $35.50 credit and the daily fee is $42. 

I told him the story & asked if he could understand my confusion, but he said "the computer just won't let me do it" I could tell I wasn't going to get anywhere with him, looked like he was about 17 years old

I gave him $8, figuring when we finished, I'd go in & see if the Pro was there. 

Right before we teed off, here came the cart kid, saying the Pro Shop sent him out to get $8!!! I told him I already paid that. Turns out, as i find out later, they wanted $8 PER PLAYER! 

When we finish, as we drive up to the clubhouse, we are greeted by Mike, who I assume is the head Pro, to greet us. 

I had sent an email to the course when we got home Saturday, just to let them know it was disappointing that we didn't get a call Saturday earlier so we wouldn't have to drive over for no reason. I kinda hinted maybe comping the round, with or without carts, would be a kind gesture, & closed by saying, remember, a happy customer is the best advertising a business could ever buy.

So right out if the gate, he asked if I got his reply on Sunday? .. I never did...& he scolds me sayingmy threatening to give them a bad review would not get me far. 

Long story short, to make it work with no additional charges, I should have gotten my money back instead of rainchecks, then book online, pay again, so I could get the discount.

The whole conversation was a train wreck.. at one point i said, $8 us not gonna break their business & his reply was, it's not gonna break you either. I asked him if he was in my shoes, would he think this was fair & he said, sure!..it makes perfect sense. 

So anyway, that's my long story...

Would be interested to hear feedback, but I think I gave an idea what the reactions will be.

NO graphics...they switch holes, which group is this? What hole are they on? Who's leading this match?

Would be fun to see the rapidly changing playoff projections (top 30 advance) but they hardly ever show it. All they'd have to do is add on line on their insert leaderboard.
