Thanks for the detailed review—sounds like The Dunes left a strong impression!At $250 it’s definitely a premium experience, but the firm/fast conditions, excellent practice facilities (especially that oceanfront practice green), and classic RTJ layout with real elevation changes make it stand out from the typical Myrtle Beach tracks. That Waterloo 13th sounds like a beast—smart risk/reward decisions off the tee.Love the mix of long and short holes, heavily guarded greens, and deep bunkers that punish misses. The ocean view on the par-3 10th is a nice bonus too.Glad you enjoyed it and hope you get back soon. It’s clearly in a league of its own compared to a lot of the public options around there.

Appreciate the report here from Heritage. I also hadn't played this in about a decade but remember pace was just awful! Backed up massively and a brusque starter. But I enjoyed the course and we may consider it again for our trip this year.

Thanks for sharing — I get that completely.I also love those secluded holes where you feel like you have the course to yourself — no houses, no other groups in sight, just pure golf. That front 9 at The Witch is the perfect example of it in Myrtle Beach.

Interesting question! I've always liked the Oyster Bay logo. It feels very Myrtle Beach and has a nice coastal vibe.

Fairways and greens holding up well, bunkers in good shape, and gators everywhere — that’s a win if you’re into them!Tees a bit thin and those horrible cart paths are the main knocks. 4-hour round is reasonable.Always love the wildlife show at Oyster Bay.

Wall-to-wall overseed, good fairways, perfect bunkers, and smooth (if slow) greens — sounds like nice conditions overall.No gators again, and 4:20 for a twosome is reasonable.Hole 8-9 plus that strong finishing stretch really make it a favorite — classic Palmer design shine. Definitely one of the better deals in the area right now.
