Hi all. I know posting trip lineups can be a bit trite and common but I was just looking for any suggestions, if any are to be had.

My brothers and I, 3 of us, at in MB for 2.5 days. Here is our lineup. What do you think?

10/9-land at 11pm

10/10-Caledonia am, True Blue pm

10/11-Man o-war am, Thistle pm

10/12-either Prestwick or King’s North am, flight home pm

Any suggestions or changes recommended? Also, still not sure about Prestwick or KN.

Thanks in advance everyone. Hope everyone is safe and healthy.

That is a pretty solid lineup.  I would go with Prestwick over King's North.

It’s been a few years but Man O War wasn’t in great shape when I last played it and it is a lower tier track compared to the rest of your picks.  It’s also a bit of a ride up to Thistle from MOW.  So unless $$$ is the reason you are playing MOW, I’d look for something up north closer to Thistle.  Glen Dornoch or Oyster Bay are much closer to Thistle and great MB courses and if you want to stay a tier down and play for a little cheaper then The Pearl or Sea Trail might be worth a look.  The Pearl is always solid and one of the courses at Sea Trail has gotten better reviews of late.   Oyster Bay or GD would be my pick if $$$ is no issue.   Either way all of these courses are a step up from MOW and put you in better proximity for a pm round at Thistle. Whatever you guys decide do, stay safe and have a great trip.

Good selection of courses, your drive from MOW to Thistle is a bit far, hoping your tee times are okay if you hit a slow group.

Forget Man O War - Put KN and Wild Wing on your menu instead. Prestwick is a good finish. As the boys on this forum will tell you - I love me some Kings North and would choose it over all the courses you mentioned.

You can fiddle with a lineup forever, with all the MB choices.
Your idea to play south, mid and north is good, if you want to see MB
for future trips.

Cal + TB is an all-star day.

You don't want to drive from MOW to Thistle, when you could be fighting
darkness to complete 36 holes.   If you want 2 different courses, use one
of the combos Callbox gave you.  Glen Dornoch to Thistle is a short drive.
If you are after premium courses in the north, consider Tidewater and
Glen Dornoch, a very scenic combo.  Thistle is 27 holes, so you could
play 27-36 staying there.  If you play in that area, try
Boundary House or Clarke's for dinner.

Last day, Prestwick or KN are good choices.  Both are popular in MBGT.
I prefer Kings North.  Prestwick may depend on how much you like
Pete Dye.   You can hit the ball great and not score at Prestwick.
KN has plenty of sand/water, but you can score if hitting the shots.

Welcome to MBGT, report back.

Brunswick solves your drive time between courses, but it's an ordinary
course compared to the others.   If the object is cost control, then it's OK,
but it will be a let down after Cal/TB.

The other courses suggested near Thistle would be more interesting.

I appreciate what you’re saying. I‘ve just got to make a decision on the Calabash area second course. Brunswick gets great reviews everywhere I read (especially post 2017). The others (GD, OB, etc) seem to get quite mixed reviews is all. Any reason for that?

I agree with this.

Your 1st round on your 2nd day should be closer to Thistle.

The Pearl is - literally - right across the street from Thistle .

I'll be down there too .

I hope we have good golf weather

Posting your trip in advance is a great thing to do.

I would also Drop MoW and put KN in there and then play Prestwick last.

Brunswick was improved over the last few years.

Glen Dor + OB seem to have recovered from problems. GD got new greens a
couple years ago and OB got a new Super.

When you start off with Cal + TB, you make it look like you are seeking the
best most interesting courses.  Brunswick is good for the $, but not in that
class design wise, if that is your criteria.

If cost isn't an issue, consider Tidewater paired with Thistle.

I think that Brunswick is a good choice. Nice variety of holes and it was in very good condition this past winter. Also, they might still be doing ten minute tee time intervals.
