Hello This year marks our 19 year in a row going to Pawleys Island.  The last three going through Brian.

I'm heading three days ahead solo prior to my family to play golf like crazy.  I'm thinking about the following:

The Dunes Club, Surf Club, Big Cats, MBN West, MBN South, Wild Wing, Burning Ridge and BHI.  BTW, I'm staying in North MB for those three days.  So tell me anything that might help, John.

Very difficult to resume what has been written on all these courses since two or three months. Probably better to use the research botton on this page for each golf course. Good golf!

Dune and Surf are always in good shape. There was a report that Tidewater and Glen Dornach were in good shape. Checking past trip reports will give you a good idea. sounds like a good trip with some nice tracks

Have you played any of these? I would say Dunes and BHI are must plays if you haven't but I was there at a totally different time of the year.

Definitely should play The Dunes, Surf Club.... probably BHI as well. But you should also consider Tidewater as a 3rd option!!

Most of them have been in Trip Reports.  I don't remember seeing anything bad
about them in reports.

The Dunes, Surf, BHI (long day) are the most premium, BR the least premium.

Also Check the aeration list under Course Info forum.

Dunes, Dunes, Dunes. Surf after you play Dunes! BHI is a forever trip!  Word on the street is that MBN South is good and healed from aerofying. (And is a course I really like to play.)

Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars

If you have not played BHI it is well worth the trip, and it is an all-day affair.  The ferry ride to the island takes about a half-hour so make sure you catch the right one to make your tee time.  It would be a Tier-One course if it was closer to MB.

Do agree with the vast majority!

The Dunes, Surf Club and Bald Head Island are all "must"!

Do not hesitate at all, you won't regret!

I second the Dunes, surf club and BHI. I also will say BHI is a long day. I am also a fan of MBN but they will be busy even in summer time, not that they are not worth it they are but if you are looking for get 36 in you should do 2 there.

Let the Big Dawg Bite!!!

If you dont want to waste a whole day doing BHI...

Burning Ridge and Wild Wild on 1st day.

( or MBWest &MBsouth )

Surf and Tidewater the second day ( TW in pm)

Dunes on the 3rd day.

You said you wanted to golf your ass off, so...

Enjoy.

You can't go wrong with either Dunes or Surf, friend at Tidewater says course is in great condition right now.  The Big Cats were not so good in the winter and early spring so be careful there.  Good luck and don't forget your report.

Yes, avoid The Big Cats for now.
