Played there today. For some reason it was the first time I have ever played there. Not real crowded in the afternoon and it was hot!. I really like the course. Greens were rolling good. Some high rough on the edges as the Bermuda is in prime season. Wind kicked up near the water way holes which made club selection tricky for this hacker. Some fantastic homes on the course as well. There are some really pretty holes on the course. Surprisingly there are some holes with elevation change which is unusual for a coastal area course. Honestly, I think it is one of the better courses in the area.
Enjoyed it and would recommend it.
It's a tier 1 course - better layout than GD private. And the best course to play after heavy rains - no cart paths!

Forgot to add - a great practice facility too

Agree with all the comments. Customer service is also top-notch.
Thank you for your report @herdman.
Never personnally had a bad experience at Grande Dunes and would play there on a regular basis if I was a local without a doubt!

Good to read that you enjoyed your first visit to Grande Dunes, always seems to be in good shape.
Thanks for the report. Grand Dune has also one of the best golf pro shop on the Grand Strand.
''It's just golf, let's have fun''
love this layout, and glad to hear the greens recovered from aerification, sounded like they had some trouble not too long ago with the bermuda coming back in, but all seems well. Gonna try and get a time there in the next couple days. Some of the best views on the strand!
Great course although I have only played it a few times with last year being the most recent. Each visit was a great experience with track in excellent condition and the customer service top notch.
